Rise your hand if you love makeup brushes! 🙋🏻 If you know me, you know that I have a makeup brush obsession! like I can’t stop buying brushes 🙄. I think I have more brushes than actual makeup lol (not really, probably equal amount, maybe a little more makeup ha!). Anyway, I’m sure a lot of you have heard the whole “scandal” with Morphe brushes, Jaclyn Hill and all this other unnecessary nonsense. Personally, I love Morphe brushes, in fact, I own a lot, and I mean A LOT of them lol. And because I am a Morphe babe (teehee), I am dedicating this post to their brushes.
Alright, let’s get started! I’m going to start with my most recent additions and the ones I really want to focus on on this post. I purchased some from the Elite II collection and the entire Gilded collection. Guys! These brushes are amazing!!! The Elite brushes are so soft, they feel luxurious to me. They are soft, the pick up just the right amount of product and the bristles are so darn pretty. They are synthetic bristles just FYI. My two favorites are the E1 and the E42; the E1 is a powder brush, but I love using it for blush! I love using big brushes to apply blush, but if that’s not your thing, then powder it is. It is perfect to apply powders because of its size. You distribute the product around so fast and easy and I feel like you don’t waste as much product because you don’t have to dip in too much! Now the E42 is supposed to be a deluxe contour brush, this one my friends I REALLY love using for applying brush, even more than the E1. I love it because obviously it’s a contour brush, so it makes the blush application so easy and precise. I use it for contouring and I really like it as so also! So all in all, if you’re looking for a really good powder brush and a contour brush that you can use to apply blush also (lol) these two are perfect!
Now moving on to the Gilded collection. You guys!!! Can we take a second and admire how pretty these brushes are!? I mean! I am a sucker for pretty brushes, I just am, and when I saw gold and the pretty bristles I had to have them! So I just said F it! and I got them! These brushes are so soft! The shadow brushes (the ones I’ve mostly used) are INCREDIBLE! they simply blend shadows beautifully. I can’t say I have a favorite because quite honestly I really love every single one I’ve used. This collection is definitely a must have, and if you can can’t get the entire collection, I would definitely say, get a few of the shadow brushes, you won’t be disappointed!
I can’t leave this post without mentioning the R0 from the Rose Gold collection, this brush oh my lawwwd!!! it is amazing for applying bronzer! It is a synthetic bristles brush, it is soft and applies the products so nicely and neatly! I love the shape of it because I think that’s what makes it so great for applying bronzer, especially on the cheeks when you contour or set your cream counter with the bronzer! This is my go to when I bronze.
Now let’s talk prices; in my opinion, I think Morphe brushes are very affordable. Granted the ones I mentioned here are a bit more expensive, but I believe that is because these are their most “luxurious” brushes. Are they worth it? Absolutely! I have yet to have any issues with any of these brushes. And I know you probably have seen all the drama with people trying to be shady posting pictures of their brushes shedding and falling apart, guess what? brushes do that, I honestly don’t believe it’s simply because they are Morphe brushes, think about it, you buy a brush, and at some point it is bound to have some shedding or even fall part. Personally, I have never had any of these issues with my brushes. Another thing, I think how you care for your brushes has a lot to do with how long they last! My point is, don’t let that deter you from trying them! And there are other brushes that are even cheaper than these on their site.
All in all, I truly believe they have great brushes at really good prices, and you can use any of those beauty influencers’ discount codes (I know I do! and no I don’t care that they get a cut, I am also benefiting from using the code!).
If you buy/already have any of these brushes, I would love to know your experience with them! Leave me comments, I love hearing your thoughts!
I hope you find this post helpful! Let me know in the comments!
P.S. if you’re interested in the brush holders, I got them from Glam Obsession Design, here’s her Instagram handle-@glamobsessiondesign_. She also has an Etsy shop!
Disclaimer: I am in no way affiliated with Morphe Brushes (I wish! ha!), I have never received any gifts, my post it’s my opinion and experience with the products.
