Hi everyone!! Remember when I did an update to my skincare routine? Everything was going fine with that routine, until it wasn’t it. I loved all the products I was using as well as the brands, but then out of the blue they started triggering my allergies. I would sneeze to no end and my face would feel super itchy.
So I made an appointment with my dermatologist…
He advised me to stop using the products because I was having an allergic reaction. Long story short, he said even though I had been using the products for a while, it seemed like I developed a reaction to possibly one or more of the ingredients. So I was left with no skincare, which meant I had to go on a hunt for new products and here I am to present you guys the best change I made! I am hoping and praying I don’t develop any reactions later on with these because I absolutely love the products! Let’s jump right in!!
It’s winter time so I stick to my oil cleanser, Tatcha One Step Camellia Cleansing Oil. This oil is the best, I use it morning and night, religously. I start my routine by cleasning my face with it. This leaves my face feeling soft and hydrated. Also, because you are cleansing with an oil your own natural oils won’t be stripped. Side note: sometimes I would follow this with a mask during my night time skincare routine.
I follow cleansing or masking with toner. I have been using the Pixi Glow Tonic. This toner is amazing. I love that it doesn’t dry out my skin after application.
I started using the OleHenriksen Truth Serum about 2 months ago and wow, this serum is literally heaven sent. I kid you not, I started seeing difference like within a few days of use. It is moisturizing but also anti-aging which is perfect for me.
Ok, so I have two facial mists that I love using, the OleHenriksen Fountain of Truth Facial Water and the Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist. The Truth Facial Water I like to use everyday, morning and night. I spray it after my toner and after moisturizer. The Tatcha Dewy Skin Mist I like to use during the day time, especially if I am going to be running errands and have no time for makeup. This mist gives the skin a nice glow so it’s perfect for those no makeup days. I also love the Tatcha mist after makeup! A facial mist is not something you HAVE to have, but it does add a layer of moisture to the skin!
Noticed I said moiturizers? Yes, I use three moisturizers lol, not all at once though. I use the OleHenriksen Nurture Me Moisturizing Crème at night mostly, sometimes during the day depending how my skin feels as far as dryness. The second one is the Simple Replenishing moisturizer. I love using this during the day. The third one is the LaRoche Double Repair Moisturizer UV, I use this one on days that I am going to be out of the house and need that protection for my skin. Also the reason why I go back and forth between these is because I don’t want my skin to get used to just one cream and then boom, it no longer does anything for me. Been there!
I reintroduced the Farsáli Rose Gold Elixir. I apply this after my moisturizers. I love the scent and how moisturizing this oil is. If you have dry skin, you’ll love using an oil daily, your skin will thank you! Oh I also love using this oil as primer, it gives the most beautiful, smooth base for your foundation!
So I only started using the OleHenriksen Uplifting Transformation Eye Gel recently, but so far I’m loving it. It is very hydrating and it has a cucumber-y scent to it, which I don’t mind! I also use the Banana Eye Brigtening Crème, which I reviewed that here. I love using it during the day mainly because it brightens a lot which is great for the no makeup days!
And there you have it…My new skincare routine for day and night.
Just because a product works me doesn’t mean it will work for you. Keep this in mind when you try a product! Always check the products before you purchase them and make sure they suit your skin type.
Ok my loves, this is all I have for you today. I hope you enjoyed this post and found it helpful. Please share if you feel this might help anyone else!

P.S. Also great for the skin, Collagen Peptides, I take it every day and it helps a lot, not just the skin, but your hair, nails and bones! Skin health is also internal, keep that in mind!
